Frequently Asked Questions
What’s a raw diet?
A raw diet is made up of fresh, unprocessed ingredients like raw meat, bones, and organs. It’s designed to mimic what animals would naturally eat in the wild—free of fillers, preservatives, and synthetic additives. The goal is better digestion, healthier skin and coats, stronger teeth, and more energy.
How do I switch from kibble?
Transitioning from kibble to raw can be done cold turkey or gradually. If your animal has a sensitive stomach, we recommend starting with one protein (like chicken or turkey) and introducing it slowly over a few days while reducing kibble. Always monitor for changes in digestion and adjust as needed.
How much raw should my animals be eating?
As a general rule of thumb:
- Dogs: 2–3% of their ideal adult body weight per day
- Cats: 2–4% of their body weight per day
- Working or high-energy animals may need more.
Every animal is different, so feel free to reach out—we’re happy to help calculate the right amount.
Is there a minimum order?
Yes. Our minimum order is 40 lbs.
Should I thaw before feeding?
Not necessarily. Feeding raw while it’s frozen or partially frozen is often the better option. It keeps mealtime cleaner, helps reduce plaque buildup, promotes slower eating (which aids digestion), and gives your dog’s jaw a healthy workout. Many owners find frozen feeding more convenient—and dogs love it!
